Have a question?
No, not at all. They are bonded and removed like an orthodontic bracket. Dentist use only professional dental adhesives and you can even remove them later without any damage to your teeth. The bonding process does not include any damage or removal of your tooth enamel.
iZi Tooth Jewels are bonded onto your teeth by a dentist or dental professional. They make use of clear dental cements to professionally bond the iZi onto the tooth without drilling or causing any damage to your tooth. It is very similar to bonding an orthodontic bracket onto your teeth.
Professionally bonded iZi’s will stay on your tooth for years, but like any tooth restoration, it is possible to dislodge. Therefore, it is not possible for the dentist to guarantee the bonding of the jewel.
iZi Crystals are manufactured from lead glass and are softer than our cubic zirconia Sparkles. Their facets can wear down over time, and the crystal can therefore lose its sparkle or lustre.
Sparkles are manufactured from cubic zirconia and are very hard and long-lasting. They will keep their sparkle and lustre for many years. Cubic Zirconia is called the “synthetic diamond”.
There is no drilling or prepping of tooth enamel in the process to bond an iZi. Therefore, you will experience no pain or damage to your tooth.
The easiest way is to purchase your chosen jewel from our website. Contact your closest participating dentist and make an appointment for your jewel to be bonded.
All our designs are one size only except our facing range. If you are interested in a full gold tooth or L shape from our facing range, you will need to visit your dentist so that he can measure your tooth. Every person has different size teeth and therefore you will need a specific size jewel for your chosen tooth. The dentist will need to measure the width and length of your tooth to be able to choose the right size jewel for bonding onto your tooth.
Do not fear. Most dentists have or can bond tooth jewellery. Contact them and find out if you can order and fit an iZi through them. Alternatively, you can contact us, so we can refer you to a dentist in your area.
